As you no doubt are a aware by now, we are asked by Rotary International President Ian Riseley to have each Rotarian in the world plant a tree this year.
I am asking clubs to consider following his suggestion (a good one in my estimation) and follow suit.  I am further asking that you consider planting a tree on April 7th which happens to be the Saturday of the District RYLA camp.  It is only a suggestion but it would be nice to get some publicity that day for our unified efforts.  As a reminder, Nebraska is the home of Arbor Day which started here in 1872 through the efforts of J. Sterling Morton.

The attached picture is of District 5650 Membership Chair Jill Slupe. Note her happy expression following the planting of a tree recently.  We wiill all be similarly pleased with the results of our plantings!
