The Rotary International Convention is being held this year June 23-27 in Toronto Canada at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.  I am pleased to announce that currently 44 people are registered to attend representing 10 clubs.  Although I am pleased with these numbers, there is certainly room for more!
Jenny and I have now had the privilege of attending four conventions and Toronto will be our 5th.  Our experience has been that they get in your blood and you try to find the time and resources to attend each year.

The annual House of Friendship is always a highlight for me.  So many exhibitors have booths where they will freely discuss their district’s projects.  Of course they invite you to consider joining them.  If nothing else one learns about great programs that might be replicated somewhere else.

The speakers are always excellent.  This year among the headliners is former first lady Laura Bush.  Also speaking is Helen Clark the former prime minister of New Zealand and the former administrator of the United Nations Development Program.  And, there are many more.

I would urge you to consider attending.  I have found them to be life changing.   The link is as follows:  http://www.riconvention.org/en

Even though this is in English every year the convention main addresses are translated into 6 or 7 languages in the attempt to be accessible and inclusive.  Another reason why I like Rotary.
