The 2016-17 RYLA Youth Leadership Camp will be held at Camp Kitaki April 7-9, 2017.  This will be the 6th leadership camp to be held in our district and is poised to be great.

The camp is an opportunity to grow young people (high school sophomores and juniors) into capable leaders.   There will be  many interesting activities and speakers this year as well as other fun activities such as camp fires, challenge course events,  line dancing and time to relax and get to know new friends. Students exclaim each year how valuable the experience is for them.  Clubs are urged to seek out and nominate students for participation.  Now is the time to communicate with your local schools about nominations.

In general we are seeking students who are motivated to be change makers in their schools, communities and the world.  Ideally students should have some demonstrated leadership ability but what we are most interested in is their desire to be a leader even if they do not yet have a lot of leadership experience.

The 2017 forms are on the District website under RYLA.  Clubs are urged to nominate at least two students (one male and one female).  The cost is $200 per student and is borne by the club.  There is a partial rebate available from the district.

Send completed applications and $200 per student to:
