With a new year, we have a new look!

We’ve used all the newest features of Club Runner to give our home page a new, updated look.  We’ll be changing more in the coming weeks but wanted to get things rolling by sharing a new look to our home page.

Everything is still here – but instead of listing it on the home page, more will be in menus.  Like the Rotary International site, our home page is going to be more ‘public facing’ – more about Who We Are.

Like Rotary International, we are introducing a “My District Rotary” page, which will have the How to Get Things Done information.  We’re really proud to introduce the “What do you want to do” box with links to the most common items that you ask about – just like Rotary International.
And with all of this comes a new responsive web design that will work on your computer, laptop, tablet or even your phone!
In the upcoming months, we’re going to be working more with our District Committees to update their site pages and committee pages for better communication and continuity too.

Are you using Club Runner and like the look of the new site?  We’ll be scheduling a webinar in September where you can talk to our design team (Gretchen Bren and Nicki Klein, along with Barb Rebrovich, Madeline Madden & Gary Bren) and find out more about the process, and even recruit help to get your Club’s Club Runner site updated.

If you have other questions or ideas, please email Gretchen at gretchen.bren@gmail.com to be added to our future updates list.

More about the changes
We’ve added new menus across the top of the page to more align with Rotary International’s site.  And just like RI, if something is important, we’ve included it in multiple places. But we are also not going to be duplicating efforts either – if the RI website has the information, we’ll give you a link right to that site from our District page.  We hope this way you’ll always have the latest information from Rotary International and the District in one area.

Exchange Ideas!  Just as we’ve looked to RI for best practices and ideas for this re-designed website, we hope the Exchange Ideas section will give you new energy, ideas and resources for your club to use by seeing what others are doing.

We will be enhancing the Learning & Reference Pages: Just like the page on the Rotary International site, this will now have our site pages listed where you can learn by topic or area.

The Rotary Foundation!  This section is a mix of information from Rotary International and what we are doing in the District.
