Dr. Wesley J. Galusha
Assistant Governor
(Omaha Northwest)

Dr. Galusha has been employed with the Omaha Public Schools for 24 years, currently serving as Coordinator of Student Services. During his tenure, Dr. Galusha has been a middle school teacher, Human Relations Specialist, Student Personnel Assistant, Summer School Principal, Assistant Principal of Norris Middle School andimplementation team member of the district's student information system.

Dr. Galusha is married to wife, Maybell Galusha, a culinary chef specializing in pastries. Mrs. Galusha is both a certified high school culinary instructor and certified secondary culinary instructor at Metropolitan Community College. Together, they have a Kansas University student, Sean Patrick Dail Galusha.

Dr. Galusha has been a member of the Northwest Omaha chapter of Rotary International presently serving as President. Past positions have included Treasurer and Sergeant-At-Arms.

Dr. Galusha currently sits on the Douglas County Child Abuse and Neglect Investigation and Treatment teams as well as many educationally related committees. Dr. Galusha is also on the Board of Directors for Bicycle Ride Across Nebraska (BRAN) and has served as the Campground Director for the past 4 years and has designed the jerseys for two of the rides. Additionally, Dr. Galusha currently serves as the President for his neighborhood association and is actively involved in the arts in Omaha as a working potter.
