The Club Excellence Award (formerly the Rotary Citation) recognizes the hard work clubs do throughout the year.

The Club Excellence Award is the most important award for Rotary Clubs!

Taking action toward achieving goals helps clubs engage their members, stay relevant in their communities, and run more efficiently. A welcoming and engaging club also reflects the values of Rotary. When clubs work to achieve these goals, they also contribute to the overall health and culture of Rotary for generations to come.

Deadline: 30 June

DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE END OF JUNE to enter information or submit The Rotary Foundation donations.

It takes Rotary time to fully process some items so the earlier they are submitted the better. In particular donations to The Rotary Foundation - they need to be submitted early enough to allow time for processing or they will not be reflected in the totals as of the end of June.

The Rotary Citation was originally a list of challenges that the Rotary International President outlined in support of the annual theme. For the 2020-21 Rotary Year, the Rotary Citation was based on the goals set and attained and the criteria has stayed the same since then.

Your Rotary club can earn a Club Excellence Award for achieving goals that strengthen Rotary and your club. Goals include increasing club membership, developing sustainable service projects, giving to The Rotary Foundation, and building awareness of Rotary in your community.

Club Excellence Award goals can be found in Rotary Club Central. To achieve the Club Excellence Award, review the available goals, select at least 13, achieve those goals, then report your achievement in Rotary Club Central.
