I would like you to consider people who might be a good candidate for this position. They must be a past club president to be eligible. Ideal candidates have significant experience at the club and district level with Project projects and leadership. The person would have the advantage of getting involved first as a governor nominee, then as a governor elect and following that as the Governor. The nice thing about this institutionalized progression is that we are able to help people get up to speed quickly. It is an amazing opportunity with chances to meet other Rotarians from our Zone and Internationally and to make life long friendships. The position is in truth a fair amount of responsibility but once can consult easily with peers who are involved in the district and this knowledge allays some (not all) of ones trepidation. As a reminder following our current governor Julie O'Hara, Mick McKinley will take the reins for 2019-20. Following Mick, Roxy Orr will be Governor for 2020-21. The position we wish to fill is for the year 2021-22, Some meetings and training would start when the person becomes the nominee next July.
