We as Rotarians are so fortunate to be associated with one of the World’s great charitable organizations. Our Rotary Foundation is great for many reasons:
We are doing immense good throughout the World in our six areas of focus: Preventing Disease, Providing Clean Water, Supporting Education, Saving Mothers and Children, Growing Local Economies, and Promoting Peace.
We are on the verge of eradicating Polio from the face of the Earth through our partnership with the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. The day that happens will be the greatest public health achievement in the history of Humankind. An unbelievable achievement for Rotary and the Foundation, and one you must be part of - don’t miss your opportunity!
All of our projects are designed by Rotarians and overseen by Rotarians, providing unparalleled visibility and accountability.
Expense ratios are extremely low with 91% of funds going directly to projects.
The Rotary Fund is doing good globally and locally, with half of donations to the Annual Fund going back into Districts to decide the projects for which those funds should be used.
No other charitable donation offers all of these advantages.
This November, during Rotary Foundation Month, I encourage you and each Rotarian in our District to contribute some amount, any amount, to the Rotary Foundation. Give to the Annual Fund or any other fund of your choice. Contribute in honor of the good being done throughout the world. Contribute in honor of a dear Rotarian friend, living or departed. Contribute in honor of your children, your grandchildren, your parents, your spouse, or any family. Or contribute for your own reason. But whether you are a Major Donor, or a first time giver, please take this opportunity during Foundation Month to show your support for our great Foundation.
Giving is easy:
Give online. Simply go to Rotary.org and click on “Donate” in the upper right corner of the screen. Log in first to get credit for yourself and your club, but even if you don’t have a log-in you can still donate.
Give a check to your Club President, Club Secretary or Club Foundation Chair.

Thanks for everything you do as a Rotarian. If you are already a donor to the Foundation, thanks for the good you are doing throughout the World. And if you are not a donor, now is your chance to join us in the great work of the Rotary Foundation. Don’t miss this opportunity!
