This past year two more clubs have decided to disband.  The first was the Rotary club of Schuyler which made a decision to disband in December 2017.  The second club is Omaha North Rotary which just recently decided to disband.
In both cases clubs had struggled for some time with reduced attendance.  Members have been invited to join other clubs and a number have done so.  Actually as of May 15th our district membership is at 2020 members which is up significantly from July 1, 2017.

Also on a positive note, a new Rotaract Club has been formed at Concordia University in Seward and is sponsored by the Seward Rotary Club. Myself, District Rotaract Chair Yolanda Hoffman and UNL Rotaract Advisor Keith Larson met with Seward Club president Russ Sommerfeld and Public Relations Chair Kurth Brashear and student leader Jacob Cornelio and others.  The charter application for this club was submitted and approved so congratulations are due our newest Rotaract Club!!

There is also currently interest in forming a new Rotary club in Omaha.  We have been approached and are assisting a group to this end.
