Let's kick things off with a bold question: Are you going to grow your club - or keep it the same - over the next three years?

If you don't think you're qualified to answer, you're wrong!  What you do during your year will echo far beyond your term.  You're setting the tone for your club's future.

🎯Here's the mission:

We need your help to build a 3-year action plan by setting 6 goals for your club—not just for this year, but for the next three. These goals aren’t locked in stone. You and your successors can adjust them anytime.

Your goals can be to keep things the same, or a small increase like Net +1 or a $100 increase each year—or ambitious, like 10% growth annually. The direction is yours to choose. Just pick a path and let us know!

📝This doesn't require a board vote.  It's not a policy.  It's a vision!

Take a few minutes to look at your club's numbers as of July 1.  Then decide where you want to go by the end of Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3.  That's it.  Again, these are your visions for your club -- these do not have to be approved by the board (although their input is a good idea especially before you turn it into a plan!).  These numbers can be adjusted at any time as you and your team to make a plan.

📆 First steps - due by July 20!

If your club applied for a District Grant, you have already started on this path:  three of the goals you had to enter were required to qualify for a grant.  Your first step is to enter your goals for all 6 priority goals in either Rotary Club Central or fill out the worksheet (click here) and send it to me. And do this for your year plus the next two years.

Your goals should include:
⭐ Membership:  how many members will you have at the end of each Rotary year?
⭐ Participating in Service Projects:  How many members will participate in club service activities during the Rotary year?
⭐ Donations for The Annual Fund:    How much money will be contributed to the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund (SHARE) by your club and your members during the Rotary year?
⭐ Polio Plus: How much money will be contributed to The Rotary Foundation Polio Plus Fund by your club and its members during the Rotary year?
⭐ Benefactors: During the Rotary year, how many individuals or couples will inform The Rotary Foundation of their estate plans to include the Endowment Fund as a beneficiary or make an outright gift of US$1,000 or more to the Endowment Fund?
⭐ Strategic Plan:  Does your club have an up-to-date strategic plan?

🎥 Coming in August

I'll help that last item become a reality by showing you how you can start a strategic plan from the goals you are setting!  I'll also include tools and tactics to help you track your progress.  But all we need for July are your numbers - and remember, you can adjust them as your vision changes.

💡Pro Tip!

Want to make this even easier?  If you haven't already, start building your leadership team now.  Choose your President Elect and even your President Nominee early and work together -- just like we do on the District level.  When we collaborate across terms, we're stronger, smarter and way more effective.

So take a deep breath, dream big and decide where you want to take your club.  Then buckle up and enjoy the ride!
