Rotary International recently sent an email stating an extension for completing information to qualify for the Rotary Citation. There was an interruption in computer service much of June making it difficult for clubs to enter their data.

Some of this information is also used to update the Profile Program Points used to determine the Top 10 Clubs awarded at the upcoming District Conference. Because of the award order deadline, the information must be entered and recorded by July 7 (not July 12 as offered by RI in their letter).

  • Service Projects entered by clubs that occurred in the 2017-18 Rotary Year will qualify (regardless of the dates as long as entered by July 7). For the Rotary Citation you may need to enter in Rotary Club Central or in Rotary Showcase and mark the focus area. For the District Profile only service projects qualify (no socials, fundraisers, etc.)
  • Membership is likely not impacted; all members "as of June 30" will be used for billings as well as the profile tracking.
  • Foundation Giving may be affected - if there were donations submitted in June that are not yet showing on your reports, you may need to contact RI.
