If you believe, as I do, that real change . . . that REAL change . . . begins when someone decides to do something that makes a difference, then get a load of this.

You and I are helping bring peace to the world because we are helping provide fully funded fellowships for individuals to study at one of Rotary’s peace centers. And when they leave, they go back home (they’re in more than 115 countries) and work toward peace.

Since the program began in 2002, the Rotary Peace Centers have trained more than 1,500 fellows who now work in over 115 countries. Many serve as leaders in governments, NGOs, education and research institutions, peacekeeping and law enforcement agencies, and international organizations like the United Nations and the World Bank.

Is there a young woman or man who you feel has a burning desire to foster peace in our world? Share this link with him or her and then reflect on the opportunity you have as a Rotarian to be involved in helping bring peace to our world.
